Rashod Favors (6-2.5, 228, 4.5) of Fort Worth Dunbar, Texas is a Super Combine Freak, but he is also one of the top high school football players in the country and he is a Freak of Nature. He is just too big and fast to be so athletic.
On his highlight flm, Favors plays both linebacker and safety and he runs all over the football field in making bone-crunching tackles. I really believe that he could be a 230 pound safety in college or he could play rover safety. We all know that he can play linebacker.
There are a lot of schools that want him to play linebacker and there are others who are recruiting him to play defensive end. I still think that he could play the traditional linebacker, inside or outside or even a rush defensive end.
I really love his potential and I have invited him to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic and he has accepted. When I talked to Favors, I asked him if he would like to play strong safety in the All-American Bowl Game and he loved the idea.
"Some schools are telling me that I could play for them next year as a freshman defensive end, but I have never really played that position," said Favors. "I really like linebacker or safety."
Favors has so much speed and athleticism, I think that he could play at lease three or four positions on defense and I think that he would make a great playmaking tight end on offense.
At the start of football season, Favors already had received over twenty scholarship offers, including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Stanford, TCU, SMU, Arizona, Baylor, Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State, Rice, Purdue, Missouri, Utah, Vanderbilt, and others.
In his first game of the season, Favors injured his knee and was lost for his entire senior season, including participation in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic. Favors, will however, be on the sideline for the West Team with his Jersey #8 on and rooting for his team.
