Nigel Terrell (6-2, 215, 4.46) is from Pelham, Alabama and he is an unbelievable physical specimen. He is also a Super Combine Freak. He was sensational at some Super Combines and Super Camps in putting-up some very impressive numbers, including an amazing 37 inch vertical jimp; a 4.46 in the forty; a 4.22 in the pro-agility shuttle; a 116 standing broad jump; and 25 reps of 185 pounds on the bench press.
Terrell is sensational on his highlight film. He plays rush outside linebacker on a lot of plays which looks like a rush end and gets off the ball so quick and he is so fast, nobody can really block him. He had a great junior seaspn when he recorded 129 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, had 2 sacks, four quarterback pressures, two pass breakups, and one pass interception.
Although Terrell had a great junior season, he was "Flying Under the Recruiting Radar" at the first of the recruiting season. In late spring, once his great highlight film got around to most of the coaches in the South, his recruiting started to pick-up. Then when he made it to some Super Combines and Super Camps, it became apparent that he was one of the fastest and best outside linebacker prospects in the South.
At the Tennessee Vols Skill Camp, Terrell was one of the best physical specimens at that Camp and he was also one of the biggest surprises. He has a muscular chest with muscles bulging and he has long arms. He actually looks skinny, but he is muscularly skinny with plenty of frame to grow another 20 pounds or so, without losing any of his incredible speed.
When I watched Terrell on his highlight film in the early Spring, he did not have any offers yet, but I just knew that he was going to be a very Special player for some lucky school. I was so impressed with Terrell, I immediately invited him to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game and he accepted.
Later in the summer, Terrell went to the Seminole Showcase Football Camp and he really put on a show. The Seminole coaches already loved his tremendous speed and they offered him and he accepted shortly after.
Before Terrell picked the Florida State Seminoles, he had scholarship offers from Auburn, Arkansas, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Kentucky, Colorado, UAB, Troy, and Western Kentucky.
