Bates
is a sensational football play who has been Flying Under the Recruiting Radar for the most part of this recruiting season. As a junior, he recorded 63 tackles, 14 sacks, recovered two fumbles, and caused two fumbles.
Then he went to a couple of Camps, including the LSU an SMU Camps, put-up some great numbers, dominated in the drills and the offers started to roll in, including both LSU and SMU.
A lot of schools still were not aware of him, although he was voted Defensive MVP in District 7-5A and was All-Metro in the New Orleans Area. I was so impressed with him, I invited him to play in the
2010 All-American Bowl Game
