Dietrich Riley (6-1, 200, 4.42) of La Canada Saint Francis, California is simply a Football Freak. I have watched him on two highlight films and also at the Southern Cal Summer Camp and I can tell you. This kid is a fabulous football player.

 

He also put up some pretty good Super Combine bests with a 38 inch vertical jump and a 4.2 in the shuttle, but I would not call him a Super Combine Freak, but I would call him a Super Football Freak and he is being recruited from Coast to Coast to prove it. After a Southern Cal Super Football Camp where he lined-up at cornerback and did not give up a single completion in the one-on-one drills, USC Head Coach Pete Carroll offered him a scholarship.

 

I really like this kid. He is a tremendous hitter; a great leader; and a great competitot. I believe that he will play for some lucky school next year as a true freshman and you better play him, because he will be gone to the NFL after three years.

 

"I go 400% on every play," says Riley after being interviewed after the Southern Cal Super Football Camp. "I do not go 110% on every play, but I go 400% on every play."

 

Before his first football game of his senior season, he had over 20 offers, including Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, California, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Southern Cal, UCLA, Washington, Tennessee, and Florida State.

 

Riley says that he will take all five of his official visits and he will also try to take as many un-official visits as he can. His first un-official visit will be with Arizona State for the Southern Cal game on November 7.

 

He then will visit Tennessee on October 3 for the Auburn game and he will then visit Notre Dame on an official visit for the Southern Cal game over the October 16 weekend.

 

He will visit The Trojans on an official visit over the December 13 weekend.

 

This is the kid that I would start my program if I was building a new NFL team. He also plays on both sides of the field and he could very easily play running back or slot back in college, but I believe that he is a "Difference-Maker" on defense.
