Aaron Aiken (6-5, 210, 4.7) of The Lawrenceville Prep School, New Jersey is a strong-armed athletic quarterback who has been "Flying Under the Recruiting Radar" for this entire recruiting season. He has been outstanding at various camps, but he basically does not have very much junior film and every coach is waiting to see what he does once his senior season starts.
Aiken transferred to Lawrenceville Prep at mid-term as a junior and he was still able to put-up 800 yards passing with four touchdowns and he also ran for another 300 yards.
He went to summer football camps of Rutgers, Boston College, Maryland, and Stanford, but none of the four extended to him an offer, because they want to see him play as a senior.
Aiken carries a nice 3.4 GPA and he recorded an 1800 on his SAT Test. He has taken honors classes in Chemesty and English, so it does not appear that his grades will be a problem.
On the highlight film that I was able to see, Aiken demonstrates a very strong arm, is accurate, and he looks like he can make all of the throws. I also believe that he is a great leader. For all of these reasons, I have invited him to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic.
Aiken and I have been communicating together on Facebook and I really like this kid. He is a very humble kid and he is very excited about the opportunity to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic. I think that he may have as much upside potential as any quarterback in the country. He also has great height and great size.
Another interesting point is that Aiken is from New Jersey and Rutgers is the New Jersey State School. The Scarlet Knights have already gotton a committment from a a South Carolina quarterback by the name of Chas Dodd and he was also going to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic, but he now has decided to enter Rutgers at mid-term and so he has decided not to play in the All-American Bowl Game Classic.
I wonder if both All-American quarterbacks will eventually end-up at Rutgers?
